Heritage Bengal Global (HBG) is a not for profit Organisation based in the UK, established with a profound mission: to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of Bengal on a global scale. We have reached out to Bengal diaspora in more than 70 countries, serving as a vibrant bridge for the diaspora and their counterparts worldwide through diverse avenues, including cultural, educational, industrial, sporting, business, and tourism initiatives.
Our Approach
We aim to reach diverse audiences, cutting across different backgrounds and generations, by delivering rich, diverse, and sustainable events and celebrations. With support from government bodies and charity organizations in our registered countries, we champion:
* Arts and Culture: Organizing festivals, exhibitions, and performances.
* Business and Entrepreneurship: Creating platforms for networking and industrial collaboration.
* Sports: Promoting sporting events that bring communities together.
Our Flagship Global Events
HBG organizes several landmark events that have become pillars of global Bengali cultural outreach:
1. Lalbaba Rice Thames Durga Parade (London, UK): Our pioneering event, the Lalbaba Rice Thames Durga Parade, is a spectacular celebration that brings the grandeur and spirit of Bengal’s greatest festival, Durga Pujo, to the heart of London. This unique parade on the River Thames offers a mesmerizing visual and cultural experience, symbolizing the global reach of Bengali tradition.
2. Techno India IFA Shield (International Editions): We revive and promote the legendary IFA Shield football tournament in international territories, fostering a spirit of sportsmanship and connecting the diaspora through the love of the game. Our current international editions include events in the UK, Australia, Scotland, Canada, and the USA.
3. Bengal Global Connect Meet (Kolkata, India): The cornerstone of our annual calendar is the Annual Global Meet held every December in Kolkata. This major gathering serves as a critical forum for thought leaders, entrepreneurs, artists, and community representatives from across our 60+ countries to connect, collaborate, and strategize on future initiatives for global Bengali heritage promotion.
Join us as we continue to build a lasting legacy for Bengal, connecting hearts and minds across continents.
Our mission is the active realization of our vision through strategic initiatives:

The vision of Heritage Bengal Global Connect (HBGC) is to be the premier global platform that preserves, promotes, and sustains the vibrant cultural heritage and promote business of Bengal across the world.
We aspire to build a globally connected community that transcends geographical boundaries, where the Bengali identity, history, values, business (both start ups and family businesses ) and artistic traditions are celebrated, shared, and passed down through generations.
Heritage Bengal Global (HBG) began as a dynamic project in the UK, focused on taking Bengali businesses and culture from a local stage to a truly global presence. The initial success of this pioneering endeavour served as the catalyst for the formation of The Global Connects.
Today, HBG is a powerful network driven by individuals who are deeply passionate about art, culture, business, sports, and heritage.
HBG maintains close working relationships with key institutional partners to maximize our impact. We work closely with organizations such as the British Deputy High Commission in Kolkata, alongside many other renowned organizations globally.
We are deeply thankful for the support of our various partners and sponsors. We are highly selective, choosing to collaborate only with organizations whose values and principles align with our own, ensuring integrity and shared purpose in all our activities.
